Buy the FirmTech TechRing ($275) if you want firmer erections plus data on firmness, duration and nighttime erections. Buy the Performance Ring ($60) for simple, comfortable wear of up to 12 hours. Buy the MaxPR ($60) for the tightest fit and most intense finish, worn up to 90 minutes. All three share the same doctor-designed peno-scrotal fit.

These ED ring reviews are published by FirmTech, which makes all three rings. They exist to help men choose between them using the same facts for each, drawn from FirmTech’s product pages and verified buyer reviews.

FirmTech rings ranked for most buyers

Published by FirmTech. Each ring is scored on the same criteria. Pick by the goal that matches yours, not only by rank.

  1. Best overall: performance plus health data

    Rank 1: TechRing $275

The smart ring for firmer, longer erections, with built-in sensors that measure firmness, quality and duration during sex and count nighttime erections while you sleep.

Ranked first because it meets every criterion we score: firmer, longer erections, up to 12 hours of wear, the only built-in tracking of firmness, duration and nighttime erections, and the longest warranty at 1 year. It also costs the most, at $275.

    5 out of 5 stars.

    Amazing Details

“the level of clarity and detail this records and provides feedback is amazing. Even my doctor was shocked at the amount when I shared.”

  2. Best value: simple, comfortable everyday wear

    Rank 2: Performance Ring $60

FirmTech’s original ring. Firmer, longer-lasting erections with a comfortable, adjustable fit and nothing to charge, pair or set up.

Ranked second because it delivers the same firmer, longer erections and the same 12-hour wear limit for $60, with nothing to charge or pair. It has no health tracking and a 3-month warranty.

    5 out of 5 stars.

“Simple, comfortable, and it just works. Wish I’d tried it years ago.”

  3. Best for maximum tightness and intensity

    Rank 3: MaxPR $60

FirmTech’s tightest ring. A slimmer, snugger version of the original shape for maximum firmness and heightened sensation.

Ranked third for most buyers because its tightest fit, rated 5 of 5, limits safe wear to 90 minutes. For men who want the most pressure and the most intense finish, it is the first pick, at $60.

    5 out of 5 stars.

“Tighter than the original in the best way. A real difference.”

The short version, card by card

What is an ED ring?

An ED ring, also called a tension ring or erection ring, is a soft band worn at the base of the penis that slows blood from flowing back out, so erections stay firmer for longer while it is on. FirmTech’s rings loop around the base and behind the testicles, a peno-scrotal fit designed with urologists, and adjust with a hook-and-latch strap. No pills and no prescription are involved. The effect is mechanical and lasts only while the ring is worn. The FirmTech TechRing adds sensors that measure firmness, quality and duration, and count nighttime erections in an app.

Why men look at ED rings: the published numbers

ED is common, pills do not work for everyone, and rings have a clear mechanical role.

  • 40% to 70%

According to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, about 40% of men have ED by age 40, climbing to roughly 70% by age 70.

  • Up to 40%

Up to 40% of men don’t get a satisfactory response from PDE5 inhibitors like Viagra or Cialis, according to a review in the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine, and a leaking valve is a frequent cause.

  • Up to 30 min

Mayo Clinic describes the same principle in vacuum erection devices: a ring slipped onto the base after pumping traps the blood that’s already there and keeps the erection firm for up to 30 minutes.

Source for all three figures: Best ED Rings in 2026: A Comparison Guide (RxSleeve), which cites the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine and Mayo Clinic. These are published market figures, not FirmTech results.

When a FirmTech ring is not the right pick

A ring holds blood that is already there. If you cannot get an erection at all, a doctor-guided treatment or a vacuum pump, used with a ring, may fit better. If your erect girth is over 5.5 inches, FirmTech rings will not fit. If you have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners, talk to a doctor first.

Do erectile dysfunction rings work?

What size ED ring do I need?

What are erection ring side effects?

The most common issues with any erection ring are generally discomfort, a feeling of tightness or numbness when a ring is too tight or worn too long. Following the wear-time limit and adjusting tension lowers that risk. Remove the ring right away if it hurts, and talk to a doctor about any lasting symptom.

How we chose

This page was written by FirmTech, the company that makes every ring it covers. Each ring is judged on the same criteria: what it is for, price, tightness rating, safe wear time, health tracking, warranty and what verified buyers say. All facts come from FirmTech’s published product pages, comparison chart and reviews page.

The ranking order reflects how many of those criteria each ring meets for a typical buyer. A ring ranked lower can still be the best choice for a specific goal, which is why each entry is labeled with what it is best for.
